Project Revitalisation

In Feb 2015, we were approached by a group of students from the University of the Western Cape; Ubunthu Community Upliftment Projects, enquiring about the well-being of patients and the upkeep of the facility. The discussion held with was very fruitful.

The main objectives of the project was to provide patients and residence with a vision of a bright tomorrow, a vision that meets the full value of Ubunthu. It also strived to meet the objectives of the managements and staff of Beaconvale Community Frail Care Centre, which is to dedicate the west wing of the facility specifically for patients suffering from mental disability. The project covered the following:

  • Fitting of gates to demarcate the area identified

  • Repainting of the entertainment area

  • Redecorating the entertainment area

  • Fitting of new lights

Project Revitalisation, undertaken by Ubunthu Community Upliftment Projects has been a real success story. The project concluded on 9 May 2015 and delivered on all expectations. We are very pleased with the outcome and would like to say a huge thank you to them and partners who have joined this initiative.

Project Revitalisation has shown, as a community standing together, we can achieve more. We would like to use the opportunity to welcome all members of our communities, organisation and corporates to visit the centre. This in its own provides so much inspiration to the patients and residents of Beaconvale Community Frail Care Centre.
